I still don't use them for anything, but as time has gone on, occasionally someone discusses them here. The same problems seem to be part of the product.
My impression is that custom installers don't want to sell them because they want to be able to complete the installation and know that everything will WORK without constant fiddling and, for instance, resynchronizing the power state of the components. Repeatedly.
A customer who won't spend more, if you can get him to let you off the hook for repetitive irritating fixes, can be a successful Harmony customer. That's what I get from posts here over the years.
