I read through the document linked in the last message. It appears as, while the 93/95 & 103/105 use a somewhat funny communication mechanism (XML fragments sent over UDP, no (real) responses), the mechanism in the 203/205 is much more standard: TCP, basically the TCP sockets instead of serial RS232. This allows bidirectional communication. The discovery mechanism is different too.
