I am thinking about a way of feeding an analog amp from the audio out of a TV remotely located, there is currently a SnapAV Binary HDMI balun taking the HDMI signal from a cable box from the rack to the TV. Locally on the TV there is an Apple TV.
I wonder if I use an ARC audio extractor ( available from amazon or any other ) and leave it in the rack between the cable box and the HDMI Extender and extract not only the cable box sound, but also the Apple TV or any sound generated by the smart portal on the TV if the extender is connected on HDMI1 on the TV that is capable of ARC.
I have never used arc over extenders .... please share if you have tried. Thanks!
