WTH do people selling their old car, think it's worth more than NADA, and what a similar, but in much better condition costs?


Went to look at a car today. Guy is asking $4,200.00, NADA full retail, is $4,100.00.

As I look it over, it is way too obvious that this car has not been taken care of, so in POOR condition, the value is about $3,000.00 at full retail, and maybe $2,000.00 "Private Party".

He admits that the dealer offered $1,500.00 on trade in.

I asked "Didn't that tell you something?".
