You're probably right, it may be the best way. However, the remotes are RF and can communicate with the Tivo directly, if I'm not mistaken. The MRF-350 has 6 IR outlets. Those are currently controlling other devices. I was hoping to leave the configuration as it is without taking out a piece of equipment. If I do take one piece out of the 350's control, I think I can blast the 'deactivated' piece as it is VERY seldom used and the rack is inside a enclosure. It's a Denon DVD player.

the MX-900 cannot talk directly to TiVo(Or any other RF devices for that matter). EDIT: oh yeah forgot about the native Lutron Lighting devices...
MRF-350's can run multiple emitters on each output though. and each device can be assigned to a specific output. so you ca set Output 1 to run say a Bluray and the Bolt, and output 2 would do the Romio and a AppleTV for example.
