What RF setting? The remotes do not communicate with the Tivo equipment. They communicate with the URC base (if one is being used) and that send commands TO the Tivo boxes. Without the RF base, the remote still does not communicate with the Tivo boxes. It directly sends the commands TO the Tivo boxes. The absolute best way to set the remotes to control the correct box is IR routing with a RF base.
