As mentioned above did you disable the wireless in each of the sonos's, except maybe 1? Otherwise you are probably experiencing a loop and crashing the router.

Its not that gateway. I have several houses using that now with sonos in play.

Sonos recommends only one device being hard wired because thats the easiest way to insure no network loops are created. Sonos devices when plugged in start looking for each other. once they establish the Sonos net wireless they dont give it up easily.

If you're installing multiple Sonos boxes, Wire only one, or Go into the network config and disable the wireless.
