Meh...i have clients that still have component video switches. No 4K for them. Not my fault. Not their fault. Upgrade the switch to get 4K.

I don't know what the entire story is with Airplay2 and Sonos but if something new comes out and the current product doesn't work...the client can live with it or upgrade everything.
