Closed out app. Phone shows nothing for app being open. But, if you go into app manager and force close, the volume slider will disappear, so the app is staying open in the background. The only setting I see that might affect this is network standby, but disabling this will result in not being able to power the system on from the app.
That's bizarre- I use an iPhone 6 and have a WXC-50 but never have any problems with the volume slider. Have you turned the phone off, left it off for a few minutes and turned it on again? I have had a few instances where I couldn't control the MusicCast, but as soon as I turned WiFi off in my phone and restarted it, I had normal control.
