Could this make a combo of a Sony TV and a wireless DirecTV client require 45 seconds to come up? A B I G hint here is that the power light on the DTV client takes about ten seconds to come on.... so, hey, HDMI!
In this particular client's home, a DTV tech swapped clients around and came to the conclusion that the TV must have been causing the problem. I don't remember whether HDMI control was on or off.
