I encountered Altice for the first time last week. WHAT A MESS. No bridging, no discrete on, getting to program guide takes 3 button presses, response to channel change takes a long time. And her client box keeps loosing its programming and reverts to only passing channels 2-21 even while the server box still receives all channels. Thankfully this was only a hang and bang for an old customer.

I encountered it yesterday for the first time as well.  I can say one thing that I liked and one thing only.  The TV codes for programming the remote are only 1 digit.  LG is 2, Samsung is 5.  Other than that, no thanks.  Client insisted on plugging his Apple Router into it so he could have wifi where the Altice One could not provide it.  It worked but I told him this will likely cause issues.  I don't know Apple Network gear well enough to know if it can be put into just an AP mode.  I suggested he get Eero or something similar to run as APs if he wishes to have it setup like that.
