I don't want to hear the stupid "they are down on their luck" or "the punishment doesn't fit the crime" bs. DEAD. If you are such a jackass that you steal from other people that work for their stuff, then you deserve to die, simple as that.
Where would you draw the line on this? Shop lifting, pirating copy writed content, tax evasion or insurance fraud? I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't stolen something.
