That might be true, but I'm using a USB to RS232 adaptor because my computer doesn't have any COM ports. How would one number those?

So I looked up the diagram and found that the USB ports are all labeled "USB PORT." A note says they'll work with USB 1.1 and 2.0.

What model is the computer? When I needed to know the port assignments for my Dell, I googled the model and found a manual that showed the names for each port.

It's a ThinkPad T420.
