I never thought they held a candle to the true Pioneer Elites. One of my customers has 4 or 5 of the Pioneer plasmas and against my recommendation replaced one with the 70" sharp just for size factor. He has all of his televisions professionally calibrated and hated the Sharp. Finally replaced it last year with a Sony 75" 940 series that he loves.

The Sharps never lived up to the hype created by the market hole left when Pioneer exited the TV scene


PS the discrete power command was fixable via a USB firmware update...but tried to find this last year for a different client and the tech support at Sharp acted like they had zero information on that series tv and claimed there was never to their knowledge a firmware update.
