We do very little access control, but occasionally I'm asked to do a single or two doors, and regrettably I do them :-(

I have a situation where we are installing a standalone Proxpad system, and a 600lb mag lock - and where they (contractor) pulled the wires out of the door (top) frame is about 5" away where the wire needs to enter the maglock for connections (if that makes sense).

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on getting the wire into the lock without cutting or fishing? This is a wood door frame attached to a metal header, so moving the wire isn't gonna happen.

If a maglock with a channel or groove in the top existed, that would be ideal.Or perhaps a spacer with that same channel or groove. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance - I'm stuck
