Brad and Highfigh have got it, I'm sure. IR looks white on a camera, so in the dark, that white can only come from some kind of IR. What IR source is often found all around the lens, such that leakage would create some kind of circular pattern? Perhaps with some indication of individual points of light, such as the star pattern in the middle? IR.
Someone lost their donut. The shipping things wouldn't cause problems just at night.
