I use it on my QNAP NAS.
Have few movies in DVD and BD format.
Have some home videos that show up.
I have setup different users and permissions to folders as well as age restrictions. My 12yo daughter hates is because she can't watch movies that are PG13 and up.
Use it on most smart TVs, all Rokus, laptops, tablets and smartphones at home or away. No port forwarding required (IIRC).
