We have been using these little suckers URTSis for several years, and hating them for several years. Mostly because of range limitations of the RTS signal and need for that RS232 cable in “sweet spots” of the home, somewhere centralized to get the most range out of it.

Well, there is a company called Neocontrol, estabilshed in Brazil ( my hometown ) that was recently acquired by Somfy, and now well established in Florida that came out with a device call Box99. In a glance it’s a hub that can control several devices via Z-Wave, IR, IP - but if you are married to Crestron or C4, you can just use this hub as your interface for RTS. It’s capable of storing 32 RTS channels ( double of the URTSi ) and the advantages are many:

Box connects on your wifi. You just need an outlet ( easier to locate that in a sweet spot )
Setup is 1-2-3 via smartphone app, and pairing the RTS channels is via smartphone. No more turning selector switch.

Range is now 80ft ! Vs 30-40 on the URTSI.

Once all done, you send an UDP string to the network and the hub will respond instantaneously. Crestron and c4 are on the way, but manually input strings are working fine for now.

I have no affiliation with them, but I will be happy to send you a contact info for the ppl there . They were really helpful on teaching us the protocols and stuff.

Here’s a link to the device:
