I do not have OTA installed on my Dish Network. I pay the $10 a month for my local programming. So in other words I get to watch WFSB, Connecticut’s CBS.

My issue could very well relate to the OP’s issue. It’s just a matter investigating the matter further. First, look at the equipment at the house. Second, ask around that area for other DirecTV users. Third, call that particular station’s tech support. Which is what ended up being my problem.

For Dish and DitecTV, as well as cable. WFSB sends a signal via satellite for Dish, DirecTV, cable and whatever else. They receive that signal on their equipment. From there it gets beamed back to a different satellite (Dish and DirecTV) and they send it back down to earth to the customers.
