She currently still sleeps with a fan that she unplugs and plugs back up every day. And before you ask...i know it has an ON/OFF knob...but for some reason its easier to unplug it and plug it back up?
Client of mine does this with his TV.Told him there IS a button right there on the side, if you don't want to use the remote.
He replied with "The remote. or that button, doesn't REALLY turn it off. I've heard all about this continued "Phantom Energy" power draw, even when something is turned off.".
His MX980? Same thing. Pulls the power when it's not in use. Of course the remote is always needing a charge when it needs to be used.
