I just got a new replacement RMT-17 in the mail and it is a dud. I checked with a DMM and I'm getting 3.2V where it's needed. I popped it apart and noticed that they omitted the storage capacitor which would be important if it was programmable, but I wonder if even a non-programmable could forget everything if left with no batteries long enough?
My universal remote still works with the TV.
The seller refunded me in full, but they are still listing it.
Anybody hear about common faults with this device? I presume that only the factory could restore the program if that's the problem.
I FOUND THE PROBLEM:
It has the wrong program. It works perfectly with my Samsung TV. Performs all functions: menu, info, etc. (I needed it to work with a Westinghouse DW32H1G1)
Does anyone know if this can be reprogrammed via the keypad?
