Ummm. Peerless and Chief both offer alternatives to fit on the end of 1 1/2" npt pipe, depending on what you need. They offer flanges to work with many different types of ceiling structure. Wouldn't it make sense to look at a premade solution where somebody else has done the engineering, etc?
