So, I am having a strange issue with some MX-980 remotes. There is a MSC-400 controller programmed with smart macros to control most of the home.
There is a MX-1200 and a few MX-980 remotes that use the macros on the MSC-400.
The MX-1200 works without issue. In the MX-980s, for whatever reason, if an IR command is NOT sent by the remote in the previous ~5 seconds, the smart macros do not trigger. I have attempted to reset the remotes to factory defaults and reload the programming on them. I have tried redragging all of the smart triggers onto the buttons in CCP, all to no avail.
Has anyone seen this before and/or have a solution?
I am about to attempt as a workaround programming the remote to send an IR command from a device that is not part of the home (basically garbage just to send some IR command) before executing the rest of the macro/initiating the smart trigger on the remote to see if that works.
However, I would like to not have to use this workaround if there is a fix for this apparent bug.
