Seems to be an issue with the Cisco switch. A reboot of the switch fixed the issue. Weird. Have no idea how or why a switch issue would cause this.

I had to do the same with a Netgear switch (in the house where WiFi goes to die). I have asked about that every time I talk to someone in tech support and they all say the same thing- "Never heard of that before".
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
