IMO, tech support and service with Snap will be better than other options. But, it’s not the cheapest option. You’ll have to weigh which factor is the most important.
While I'll agree that Snap will offer better support, I have not come across an issue with any of the Hik systems I've installed that required a call to support. I don't mind paying more for good support, but when paying 2 to 3 times the price for the same or similarly specced product, its gets to be a tough pill to swallow. Especially in residential surveillance. So many people see the Costco prices and expect that a system will cost in that range. I used to push Wirepath before Luma was out and got kickback on the pricing often enough that I had to look at some other options.
