Client has older receiver, not HDR nor 60hz 4K. TV has one 4K input. Client has 3 4K sources.
Ideal would be a switcher (don't need matrix) around $400 that could switch at today's standard, and have 2 HDMI outputs. One for video directly to the TV, the other to pass full HD audio to the receiver. I figure it would probably need EDID settings on the outputs to keep HD audio throughput?
I suspect trying to put an HDMI splitter after a single output switcher is going to cause audio issues since the TV sink won't accept the HD audio. Plus added cost and complexity.
Replacing the receiver at current level is $2000+ He'll give up the HD audio before that happens.
I checked Key Digital, Atlona (it's not 2.2), Vanco, Wyrestorm
Thanks.
