A monitor generally doesn't have speakers, has only one hdmi/vga input. Power supply is outboard...
TV's have speakers, multiple HDMI inputs, coax input for antenna, and some have the power supply all built in... All for under $200. The manufacturers just cant make money making a small screen TV that is low profile.
We usually end up doing something custom for a job like this. A computer monitor with outboard switching and hidden speakers... Something line that.
LG recently (past couple of years) a fairly low profile small TV (not sure if they still do) They were very stripped down (one HDMI input, low quality speakers) but they were skinny... like 1.5"

I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV. My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird. |
