I would look at all things Metra for long HDMI solutions....we have had good results with the new titan chip Velox active cables....that is the copper solution...we have not used their optical cables (non-removable heads) but they are also DPL certified.
I know we have all wandered in the desert looking for the holy grail in HDMI....stick with Metra and let them do the R&D...
