I use a crack pipe for coax. Basically it's a battery holder you connect to an f connector and a buzzer you put on other end. Also use fox and hound and a much larger version. Transmitting box has adjustable output and an induction type clamp to put around active wires along with alligator clips. Long handle so you can walk underground wires or reach ceilings. Have a multi coax trader set from JDSU. Use a speaker level toner from anaconda for speakers/wires. It has also line level out for testing amps. My best tool has always been a sharpie or other types of labels. And a good set of eyes for just following a wire in racks/cabinets and house wrapped wiring.
