When that happens, replace it with a non-blinking emitter. Better yet, replace it before your kid learns that he can pull it off.
And please don't call emitters "eyes." Eyes respond to light sent into them, so IR sensors, not emitters, are eyes. The exceptions are those people whose eyes actually emit a red glow. People like Noel Lee and some of the meaner characters in the Hellboy movies.
