Ours will support 4K passthrough with Dolby 5.1 downmixing. Does not have to have an HDMI cable connected on the output to work.
I'm streaming Pandora via a Chromecast Ultra from my mobile right now into an amplifier and speakers in my office.
We've shipped quite a few. No complaints of RF issues and none that we have seen in the lab in many different test environments.
