I have done 2 rooms with Atmos. One with Goldenear one with KEF.
The Goldenear was spec'd by a company out of town and we did the install. I have been underwhelmed and pleased with Goldenear. This room sounded good, but it could have been the Marantz Equipment with two JL Subs.
We did the KEF and Spec'd the equipment. It sounded great. Q550 fronts, Q650 Center, 160Q's for side rears and in-ceiling, two D110 JL Subs, Marantz 6012. This system outperformed the Golden ear system, and I am sure the cost was less. The dispersion for the KEF speakers was magical....really outstanding.
I have Q900s, Q600c, and Q300s for my system. I haven't set anything up in the new house yet and it will be challenging with the layout of my basement. I do want to get some KEF in ceilings though to create a Atmos setup whenever I do get around to building the theater.
