My guess is a power cycle of the TV will solve both issues. We've had issues with 232 control crop up over the past two years. Some due to firmware, some due to incompatibilities with using Crestron IR ports as one-way serial. Our solution has been to convert to IR or use CEC. Both methods have worked fine since. If you are using IR, I would suggest you use the 'Samsung UN Series' IR module in the database. Otherwise, you have DM in both jobs so just use CEC.
