We don't have fonts here to indicate attitudes, so it's very possible for them to be misinterpreted.
In a conversation, if someone says "I use 9451" and someone else responds "8451" with a question mark, the second person is questioning, challenging, the first choice (or did not hear correctly).
As poor as written conversations are, these are conversations. One reason to use more words is to try to accurately convey what is meant. "I use 9451" followed by "I've found 8451 to be good, too," indicates an alternative without any kind of challenging tone.
