I’ll echo djy. Generally, I disable CEC because it can cause unintended ON/OFF events. For example, if a device is updated in the middle of the night, it might switch ON — causing the TV to respond. This is not a big deal if an empty Blu-ray player starts up, but a blaring Cable channel would not be welcome.
