For the last few years many images would appear on this site if you simply enter their URL. That's what I was talking about above.
Craig's example is the old way of doing it and should work also with the images that don't need the added stuff. Here it is in its simplest form; again, hit "Quote" and you'll see what I actually entered.

Every once in a while, especially in a google search, you'll end up with an image URL that's thousands of characters. These rarely work. You want a URL that ends in .jpg or .png.
