It does work on the ATV3.

To the earlier post that asks, "Why AppleTV instead of Roku"? IMO, the AppleTV gives a MUCH better experience with both Netflix and Amazon. Better=

1) When you click on a show it displays other shows that are similar (without actually watching it). Makes it easier to find shows you like.

2) Seamless FF/REW: Easier to ff/rew to a spot that you want AND allows you to watch programs at 2X speed with captions on. Great if you're watching something at night and you just want to get through it without volume.
