Amazon is using third party drivers.
They hire individuals who work as couriers on a per-delivery basis. It's like Lyft, or Uber, or Uber Eats. They use their personal vehicles and shuttle items from the hub out to your delivery destination.
My understanding was that they were going to be vetted in a similar way to the Uber and Lyft process, especially for the service where they go into your home.
That’s comforting, because Uber has done such an amazing job vetting their drivers. I don’t think they’ve had one kill anyone in a couple weeks.
