I have seen 2,000 sq/ft homes get fully integrated systems and 12,000 sq/ft homes get basic stuff...because with a open mind and not profiling we did a real needs assessment. It has nothing to do with the size, or the price.
The benefits are what a customer thinks they are not what we do.
Fair enough. My point is that I'm afraid you're in the minority. I think many/most integrators lead with over-built approaches, vs. need/want gathering fro their clients. Not necessarily out of greed, either, although that's a factor.
