I had one client with 10 TV's on IP control and they were both not capable and not willing to be walked through changing the setting back. Lots and lots of truck rolls :-(
I don't think any of us are calling you crazy or doubting your experience, I am not. I am told our purchasing dept just dropped over $100k in Sony displays for the holidays so I am very interested in one's experience. We are not a retail shop so this gear that is sold and much of it will be controlled via IP.
