The only reset that I know of that affected sets was about 1 year ago and that was due to an android version update on there sets. Sony had said that when there are OS updated it resets certain flags. They are well aware of the complaints from the last time so its possible this will be addressed on future releases. There is a command on the receivers I believe to activate control, if turned off and had recommended they add that to the TV's as well.
