I sell a fair amount of Sony and use C4 exclusively. The issue with them losing IP control was real. It was due to a FW update that would disable the pre-shared key. Thankfully, all that was needed was re-enable that and it instantly worked again. In the few cases where it was needed we simply walked clients through it via phone call.

Sony support told me that they realized it and corrected it (maybe even forced a new FW update?). Would make sense since it only seemed to happen to a few systems (mine included)
