Maybe you guys are doing what I do and always recommend with IP controlled TVs...turn auto updates off (where available) and create a policy on the router such that the tv cannot access the WAN.
We do turn off auto updates when possible. We do not have any policy's in the router for the displays. All displays are statically assigned (this would IP assigned).
