We are installing an IP camera in an elevator with the elevator co. They do not and can not install cat5 cable in the shaft. We tried to connect cat5 to their cable but it does not work.

The other option is to use some type of 2-wire device that will accept 2 wires and convert them to ethernet and, poe if possible. If poe is not possible, we can still power the camera via 12vdc.

I see doorbird has a solution, but it only goes 260'. We need at around 325'.

I also see 2N has a solution, but not sure how to purchase from them.

I also see a few others.

Can anyone make any recommendations?
