Thanks IMT.
Tried those exact steps yesterday. Sat on Apple support chat today for a couple hours going back and forth. They are telling me ethernet connectivity is not supported on the Ipad. The only connectivity support they will provide is for wifi only.
Total BS, I felt better after giving him a piece of my mind.
