IMHO a VDV is very limited. In no way whatsoever is it all we need. In this business we all should be budgeting sooner rather then later for a tester that can certify a cable. It absolutely is a very valuable tool in network cable troubleshooting (even in HDMI balun usage).

This is what helps us charge for service calls, even on TelData installs.

We keep all test results of every project we work on.

This way when the customer calls saying "X" number of jacks or cables aren't working, we can show them the results. Basically, makes them pay for our service because it's not working for some other reason.

9 times out of 10, the problems come from customer misuse or stupidity!
