That should work fine.

As soon as the AppleTV Sees a 4:4:4 4k TV though, it freaks out. I ran into this last week in fact with a 5000ES Projector being fed by some standard 4:2:0 4k HDBaseT adapters. Even after I hooked the AppleTV up direct to a 1080p display and set it to 1080p only, when I went back to the HDBaseT, I got nothing. the EDID seems to override the manual setting in the AppleTV.

We're going back with a 4:4:4 Fiber kit in a couple weeks.
