Jurgen, I'm very sorry to disturb your holiday! I hope the weather is better than it has been in New Zealand lately.
I'm not sure what software I would have for the remote, but we have owned it for over 10 years and as far as I am aware, it would not have been updated since then.
I'll see what I can find out. Meanwhile, I am still pursuing your idea of running XP on the other laptop using VMWare.
