Wouldn't the record out only allow the source receiver chosen on the first device, to be fed through to the second device? Vs choosing any of the 5 to be played on either device?

His description didn't seem to need choosing any of the five by any of the second 'devices', but that would need more of a matrix, not a Y cord (which would work, according to his first post). He wrote "... need to feed each analog audio output to two devices".
