Hello,

I recently picked up an old Marantz LV500 Laserdisc player (from 1992). There was no remote control with it, but my Logitech 650 Remote does control it quite well. However, there is one important command missing from their database: There is a button on the original remote control to toggle between the digital and analog audio tracks. Some laserdiscs have audio commentaries, or music and effects only tracks stored in the analog L & R Channels, but there is no button on the player itself to toggle them so I can't listen to them. Which is unfortunate because some of these tracks are unique to the laserdisc format, and this was my entire reason for getting one.

I have searched this site pretty thoroughly and sent Logitech both of the D/A codes I found for Marantz laserdisc players:

0000 0073 0000 000B 0000 0020 0000 0020 0000 0040 0000 0020 0000 0020 0000 0040 0000 0020 0000 0020 0000 0040 0000 0020 0000 0CA0

and

0000 0073 0000 000B 0000 001F 0000 001F 0000 003F 0000 001F 0000 001F 0000 003F 0000 001F 0000 001F 0000 003F 0000 001F 0000 0C9F

(The latter was found here: [Link: remotecentral.com])

Logitech were kind enough to add both to their database, but neither one of them works with my player.

I have also contacted Marantz customer service, but was told that they "could no longer find any internal IR command sheets for the LV-500 player."

So I am hoping that somebody here can help me. Perhaps somebody here has an original remote and can extract the correct code, or you can think of some other way I might obtain it.

yours hopefully,

Rob.
